It’s been a long winter in Washington. Yesterday for The Last Word on Nothing I wrote about waiting for the famous Washington cherry blossoms to reach peak bloom. This wait ended today, which makes the piece a little poorly timed, but what can you do.
This morning I got up bright and early (part of a new scheme to save myself the discomfort of jet lag after flying to Europe this weekend) and walked around the Tidal Basin. It was, of course, lovely.
