The March issue of Smithsonian arrived today. I was delighted to find this:
I’m sandwiched between two of my friends! Andrew and Sarah both happen to live in Berlin and are excellent human beings (and writers).
This made me smile! I don’t know Sarah, but I adore Helen and Andrew.
Oh, you would love her. You should go to Berlin and hang out with all of them!
Oh Helen, you wrote about Richard Prum? I’m so jealous. I’ve wanted to write about his stuff for years. Your story is really fun.
Now I also have to go check out what Sarah wrote about! Perhaps her first (or maybe not even first?) article from her fellowship?
Yup! I suggested it after his talk at CASW in 2010. I don’t think Sarah’s came from her fellowship but it is about her favorite topic: sweat.
Just woke up and read your article… What a cool mystery solved! And it amuses (and pleases) me that birds might be as skin (feather?) deep as humans when it comes to attraction…
