oh my, partial bodies

Well, you don’t see that every day.

This was in front of a teaching hospital. My guess is they’re for people to practice doing intubations. (Anybody know for sure?)

They look like pretty standard CPR dummies to me (remember Resusci-Annie? meet her cousin CP-Arlene. No I’m not kidding), but it’s possible that they’re specifically for intubation. The yellow things next to them look like bag-valve-masks for assisted respiration.

Yeah, the squeezy thingies made me think of intubation. They also have mouth openings, but I don’t know, maybe all CPR dummies have that, too.

  3. Hey former on-stage wife. My current off-stage wife says yes. For CPR, you would get more-impartial bodies, as it were. Where was this taken?

  4. Helen says:

Hey, thanks to your current off-stage wife! This was taken right by the Foggy Bottom metro – in front of the GW hospital.
